(Christians Are More Friendly to Muslims)
The friendship between Christians and Muslims is established on firm foundations; because:
1. Both Christians and Muslims believe in God, and that God is One according to the First Commandment.
2. Both Christians and Muslims believe in the prophets and apostles of God.
3. Both of them believe in Jesus Christ as a prophet and an apostle of God, a respected one among these prophets, and an apostle of high rank.
4. The Quran honors Mary, mother of Christ, and describes her as chaste, pious, honest and that she believed in the commandments and Scripture of God, and was obedient to God, Most Gracious, and mentioned her as a excellent example for the world and all nations.
5. Muslims believe, as do Christians, in the Torah of Moses and the Books of the prophets.
6. and monks, among them, enjoin on them to be merciful to people, and to have tolerance toward Muslims.
7. Christians and Muslims believe in the Gospel revealed from God to Jesus Christ.
8. The large number of followers, of both these two religions, believe in the advent of Jesus Christ, who will unite them together.
9. Christians in general are not proud over listening to the truth: to follow it; and not proud over investigating the affair and matter, to find the truth.
10. Muslims, generally, have no rancor or hatred towards Christians; because Christians are more near to them than any other religious sect; and because God said in the Quran, 5: 82
وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُمْ مَّوَدَّةً لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ الَّذِينَ قَالُوَاْ إِنَّا نَصَارَى ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لاَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ
The explanation: ( And you will surely find the nearest of [people], in love to the believers, those who say 'We are Christians'; that, because some of them are priests and monks, and they wax not proud.)

النصارى أقرب مودّةً للمسلمين
قال تعالى في القرآن الكريم:
(وَلَتَجِدَنَّ أَقْرَبَهُمْ مَّوَدَّةً لِّلَّذِينَ آمَنُواْ الَّذِينَ قَالُوَاْ إِنَّا نَصَارَى ذَلِكَ بِأَنَّ مِنْهُمْ قِسِّيسِينَ وَرُهْبَانًا وَأَنَّهُمْ لاَ يَسْتَكْبِرُونَ)
إنّ المودّة بين النصارى و المسلمين هي بلا شك أكثر من الآخرين مثل اليهود و المشركين . و ينبغي التأكيد على هذه المودّة لكسبِهم إلى جانبِنا ، و تفويت الفرصة على أعداء محمّد و المسيح الذين احتلّوا فلسطين من أن يستميلوا النصارى إلى جانبهم.
و من عوامل هذه المودّة بين أتباع هاتين الديانتين الإسلام و المسيحيّة :
1. كلاهما يؤمنون بالله وحده كما نصّ على ذلك القرآن و أكّد عليه المسيح في الإنجيل بأنّها الوصيّة الأولى
2. كلاهما يؤمنون بعيسى المسيح ، بينما لا يؤمن به اليهود .
3. كلاهما يكرّمون مريم أمّ المسيح ، بينما يتهمها اليهود بالفاحشة و يقولون عليها قولاً عظيماً . و قد ضربها الله تعالى في القرآن مثلاً للّذينَ آمنوا في الطهارة و الأمانة و التوحيد .
4. المسلمون و النصارى يؤمنون بعودة المسيح في آخر الزمان .
5. يؤمن المسلمون بالإنجيل كتاباً سماويّاً منزلاً من الله تعالى ، كما يؤمن النصارى بذلك . بينما يكفر به اليهود .
و ترجع هذه المودّة بين أتباع هاتين الديانتين إلى :
• وجود قسّيسين و رهبان بينهم يدعوهم إلى الرحمة و التسامح مع الناس .
• النصارى بصورةٍ عامّة لا يستكبرون عن استماع الحقّ و تحرّي الحقيقة و قد أسلم كثيرٌ منهم فينبغي الاهتمام بذلك و عدم تنفيرهم . قال تعالى ( و لا تُجادِلُوا أهْلَ الكتابِ إلاّ بِالّتي هيَ أحسنُ و قولوا آمَنّا بِالّذي أُنزلَ إلينا و الذي أنزل إليكم و إلهنا و إلهُكم واحدٌ و نحنُ له مسلِون .) فأن يكونوا إلى جانبنا خيرٌ من أن يكونوا إلى جانب عدوِّنا .

The most apparent difference between christian and muslim is that christians have given divinity so someone who is not worthy of divinty. god and only god is worthy of divinity.

the muslims believe and respect the prophet juses peace be upon him... just like any other prophet and they also believe in the miraculus birth of prophet juses which many modern day christians donot even believe.

My article is primarily directed to Christians, specially the foriegners, so I wrote it in English; and I wrote it in Arabic to let the Arab understand this point to their side.

I don't mean that Muslims should have Christians as their intimate friends or their masters or to imitate them; but this is according to the aya in the Quran, which differentiates between Christians and Jews.
