What does Quraan mean by seven skies?????/

Allah says in the Quran
"He created Seven heavens ,one above the other, do you see any fault in the work of the Merciful ? " (Chap Al Mulk :3)

We have many instances where Allah Azzawajal mentions the seven heavens.
The word "heavens," which appears in many verses in the Qur'an, is used to refer to the sky above the Earth, as well as the entire universe. Given this meaning of the word, it is seen that the Earth's sky, or the atmosphere, is made up of seven layers.

Today, it is known that the world's atmosphere consists of different layers that lie on top of each other.19 Based on the criteria of chemical contents or air temperature, the definitions made have determined the atmosphere of the earth as seven layers.20 According to the "Limited Fine Mesh Model (LFMMII)," a model of atmosphere used to estimate weather conditions for 48 hours, the atmosphere is also 7 layers. According to the modern geological definitions the seven layers of atmosphere are as follows:

1. Troposphere

2. Stratosphere

3. Mesosphere

4. Thermosphere

5. Exosphere

6. Ionosphere

7. Magnetosphere

We must not think when translating prophetic texts, for the prophets did not think, they understood. The more science is used, the less we understand. This is why many prophets had no need for certain secular positions (like merchants, etc.). The seven skies are the seven heavens, as are the seven earths, (which are mentioned in other religious books as seven stars, golden pillars, etc.). It is a metaphor, and one which is very hard to explain. It is one in which all people of all beliefs will one day be categorized under. At the head of this system, prophesized in almost (or actually) every religion is an idea of one - the almighty.

I can assure you the seven earths are not seven separate worlds, as the seven skies are not divisions of the atmosphere, etc. "He created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number" (Quran 23:17), this should easily relate to seven major groups on earth becoming seven heavens in the future. Such is the work of religious studies, I am trying to find the underlying meaning and answers, but one cannot find every truth in one book alone (to be compiled for every person of every belief to understand). One must review parallel teachings (of all peoples) to find the 'truth for truth' in any complete work of writing. Even then, how do we know it is the truth, if that only comes from the Almighty? (Wherein knowing is not understanding). This is why all people have not been called to interpret certain books as truth, this is why many must pray: "O my Lord! bestow wisdom on me, and join me with the righteous." (Quran, 26:83). I am not saying, in the least, I can interpret better than anyone else, but those of you using science to 'justify' your religion, need not practice this. After all, many of our ancestors were people of faith, with much less scientific evidence, were they not?
