* O you who have a noble pedigree! Forget about your pedigree and come here. The truly noble pedigree is that of piety. The Prophet (Allah’s prayer and peace be on him) was asked: “Who are your family, O Muhammad?” He (Allah’s prayer and peace be on him) replied: “Every pious person belongs to the lineage of Muhammad.”

Do not come to me on the feet of your pedigree but come to me on the feet of your piety. Be sensible, you will not get what Allah has by virtue of your ancestral pedigree, but only when you deserve the pedigree of piety. The Invincible One has said: “The noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the most pious to Allah of you” (from 49.13).
